3x Conference Champion and former Cornell Wrestling captain with 230+ career wins across high school and college. Julian’s passion lies in teaching the art of wrestling, developing athletes on and off the mat, and building a strong community.

A former University of Iowa wrestler and NCAA qualifier, John has over 20 years of coaching experience. Founder of Empire Wrestling Academy, he’s built it into one of the nation’s premier wrestling clubs from humble beginnings in his parents’ barn.

Former VP of Development & Construction, Diego now runs his own $400M real estate consulting firm. In wrestling, he’s revitalized local youth programs and leads youth wrestling at Empire, while serving on his town’s Parks & Rec Committee.

Shana oversees Empire’s daily operations and strategic growth, elevating its professionalism and national reputation. Known for her detail, work ethic, and leadership, she’s the organizational backbone of the academy.

Originally from Long Island with over 15 years of wrestling experience as both a competitor and coach, Sal has guided athletes to state qualifiers, state placers and helped youth wrestlers take their first steps on the mat.
